Final Dissemination Event The broadbandshow is approaching the end of its first life-cycle.  During the previous 18 months we have commissioned an exceptional range of broadband content and applications for use by SMEs across the South West. The DTI has recognised the broadbandshow as demonstrating best practice in content development. As a result, we held two presentations to discover the important role broadband content and applications are playing in the future of the UK's broadband agenda. Both events were opened with a speech by Stephen Timms, Minister of State for Energy, e-Commerce and Postal Services. On Tuesday 24th February at an event for organisations in the Public Sector, we showed examples of the latest broadband applications, examining ways to promote the business benefits of broadband to SMEs, and listening to what the SMEs themselves think.   On Wednesday 25th February the event focused on the Digital Media Production companies, discussing client objectives, listening to what the clients had to say and discussing the potential pitfalls for production companies in this new arena.
